Refund Policy
Effective May 7, 2026
Our commitment
If you purchase a single report and have not yet downloaded the PDF, we will issue a full refund to the original payment method — no questions asked. Email the request to support@nycpropertyaudit.com with the order reference from your Stripe receipt and we will process the refund within 3 business days.
After PDF download
Once the PDF has been rendered and downloaded, the data has been compiled and delivered, so purchases are generally final. Exceptions may be granted at our discretion if the report failed to generate correctly, contained data the upstream NYC agency has since retracted, or was affected by a known platform incident.
Promotion codes
Reports purchased with a promotion code are refundable under the same no-download rule. Refunds are issued in the amount actually charged (post-discount). Promotion codes consumed on refunded orders may or may not be reusable depending on how the coupon was configured in Stripe; contact us if you need yours reissued.
Chargebacks
Please contact us before filing a chargeback with your card issuer. We respond to support email within one business day and a direct refund is almost always faster than a bank dispute. Chargebacks opened without first contacting us may result in loss of access to the service.
Disputed data
We do not refund reports solely because a user disagrees with the underlying NYC agency data. If you believe a record is factually wrong, the correct remedy is to contact the agency of record (HPD, DOB, OATH, DOF, etc.) — we pass through their data as-is.
Pro Monthly subscription ($99.99 / month)
The Pro Monthly plan is a recurring subscription that bills your card $99.99 USD on the same day each month until you cancel. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you keep Pro access through that date and are not charged again. We do not pro-rate refunds for partial months once the period has started, and the no-download rule above does not apply to subscription billings. If you believe you were charged in error (duplicate billing, charged after a cancellation that was not honored, etc.), contact us within 30 days and we will investigate and refund any erroneous charge in full.
Cancelling Pro Monthly
Cancel anytime from the My Reports page (Manage subscription button) or directly from the Stripe Customer Portal link in your billing receipt. Cancellation is self-service — no email or phone call required. Confirmation appears in your account immediately.
